Manual’s golf team starts their season on July 15th. During the offseason, some of the players will meet up and play at Seneca Golf Course.
“It’s not really organized by the coaches. When there isn’t bad weather, we go out and play when we can because we want to get as much practice time as possible,” said Harrison Hill (10).
The team will begin weight lifting and running in the spring for preseason conditioning. Coach Jackson plans on getting the team together after school at Manual to exercise and run but might also have the team join Urban Active.
For the upcoming season, the team will return one senior, but are expecting some good incoming freshmen. Akash Mirchandani (12), who won last years individual state championship, will not be returning next season.
“We won’t be able to replace Akash, but we will work together as a team to feed off of each other for lower scores in tournaments,” said Breck Stodghill (9). “I believe that we will have a good season this upcoming year.”
