The class of 2015 paid for the installation of an electronic sign facing the senior parking lot at the start of the 2016-2017 school year.

The class of 2015 also purchased the Japanese cherry blossom tree in front of the counselors wing.

According to class of 2015 sponsor Denee Walsh (French), the senior parking lot was the best choice for the sign because that is where parents drop off students and seniors park.

Dealing with complex JCPS and city regulations caused several delays in installing the sign, according to Walsh.

“The sign is full color, digital, wireless, and capable of producing video. I think it’s a great addition to the school and hope it serves its purpose of keeping us all abreast of what’s going on in the Manual community,” Walsh said.
