Baseball:

After a 5-4 Manual victory over Atherton on Tuesday, all eyes focused on the Wednesday matchup against rival Male. The Bulldogs were able to jump out early on Manual, and although they cut the lead to 3-2 in the third inning, the Crimsons were never able to find their footing in the game where they eventually fell 7-2. The team now uses the spring break to travel to the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Fla. to play a tournament and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Softball:

The Lady Crimsons had yet another busy week on the diamond. On Monday they defeated district rival Central 16-0 and then dispatched PRP 11-1 the very next day. The team is starting to make some noise around the state and they are letting people know that they are for real this year. They are now off to Disney for spring break to play in a tournament with some of the best teams in the nation. Playing this tough of schedule will help the team be mentally prepared for the postseason down the road.

Boys’ Lacrosse:

The boys lacrosse team went 2-1 on the week. On Monday they defeated North Hardin 11-1, Wednesday they came up just short against KCD losing 12-10 and on Friday got right back on track with a 13-7 victory over Walnut Creek OH. The team now gets the spring break off and is back in action at home against Dunbar next Wednesday, April 13. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.

Boys’ Tennis:

It was a great week for the Manual boys’ tennis team. On Monday they defeated Bullitt East 4-1 and then beat Bullitt Central 3-0 on Tuesday. The team is looking sharp this season and if they continue to play like they did this week, watch out for the Crimsons to sneak up on some teams. They will be back in action on the road against St. Francis next Monday at 4:00 p.m.
