- High School Football Semis: Friday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m., Southern High School, Meade County and Dixie Heights – On Friday night, multiple local high school teams will play in the state semifinals. In Louisville, DeSales will play Murray high school in the class 2-A semis at Southern High School, where the Colts will try to win its third straight 2-A championship. Trinity High School and Ballard High School are also playing in the 6-A semifinals. Ballard will travel to Dixie Heights while the Shamrocks will travel to Meade County.
- University of Louisville (UofL) vs. University of Kentucky (UK) Football: Saturday, Nov. 29 12:00pm, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium – For the first time in the series’ history, the Cards and the Cats will play football on Thanksgiving weekend, as UK will travel to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for a noon kickoff against UofL. Louisville has won the past three meetings in the rivalry, while Kentucky leads the series 14-12. UK (5-6) needs a win to go to a bowl game; UofL (8-3) needs a win for a possibility to go to the Orange Bowl. The Cards are a 12.5 point favorite, as of Tuesday.
- NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament, third round: UofL vs. University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC): Sunday, 30 at 6:00 p.m., Lynn Stadium – The UofL men’s soccer team will try to keep its season alive at home against UMBC in the NCAA Tournament. The 13 ranked Cards (11-7-3) beat number 19 St. Louis last Sunday 2-1 on a goal by Tim Kubel to advance to the third round. UMBC (13-5-4), upset number four Maryland 1-0 on November 23 to advance to the round of 16 for the first time in school history, according to CBS.

- Eagles vs. Cowboys: Thursday, Nov. 27 at 4:30 p.m. – In the spirit of spectacular Thanksgiving football games, the Philadelphia Eagles will be travel to Texas to play the Dallas Cowboys Thursday night. It should be an evenly matched game of East vs. West as both teams are 8-3 and coming off of wins this past week, with the Eagles taking down Tennessee 43-24 and the Cowboys dispatching the Giants 31-28. With running back LeSean Mccoy of the Eagles appearing to be back in top shape and the outstanding play of Cowboys running back Demarco Murray, Thursday’s game is certainly one to watch.
- Wizards vs. Pelicans: Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. – On Saturday night, the 7-5 Pelicans will take on the 9-3 Washington Wizards in what should prove to be a stellar matchup between former UK players and potential MVP candidates Anthony Davis, a power forward for the Pelicans, and John Wall, point guard for the Wizards. Davis has been having a stellar season thus far, averaging 26 points, 11 rebounds, and a league-best 3.5 blocked shots per game. Meanwhile, Wall is averaging 19.4 points, 2.7 steals, and a blistering 9.1 assists per game. It should prove to be a great game between two of the league’s better teams, which also include former U of L player Russ Smith from the Pelicans, as well as former UK player Darius Miller.
- UK vs. Providence: Sunday, Nov. 30 at 2:00 p.m. – Men’s College Basketball boasts a powerful matchup in two undefeated teams: The Number One Ranked University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Providence Friars. Both teams hold a 5-0 record this season, though there is an opportunity for that to change before their matchup when Kentucky takes on Texas-Arlington and Providence takes on Yale. It will be an exciting game to watch as Kentucky’s exhausting platoon rotation attempts to wear away at Providence star forward LaDontae Henton at Rupp Arena on Sunday.
