by at April 1st, 2012 10:21 PM

Cheyenne Marie Mize, a local singer/songwriter, will be returning to Louisville on July 15 at the Forecastle Festival. Mize is a 28 year-old alternative singer/songwriter. She is also a YPAS and University of Louisville graduate.

Mize has been keeping busy with her music since she graduated from YPAS in 2002. She went on to the University of Louisville and played the violin in their orchestra. Since Mize has graduated from U of L, she has gone on to pursue her singing career. Her latest album “We Don’t Need” was released in January.

Mize alternative style is considered to be different. “Her voice doesn’t sound like any other artist. It’s really weird and unique,” Samantha Klein (10) said. “I really like her style of music, and it’s also kind of cool that she’s a YPAS graduate.”

“I love her songs. They’re all so different sounding that I can’t help but love her. I excited to be able to see her at the festival,” Natalie St. Clair (10) said.
