IanJ releases third mixtape

On Dec. 8, Ian Johnson (12), otherwise known by his stage name IanJ, will release his third mixtape entitled “Happy Birthday.”

“The name for the mixtape was super random. I made a song called ‘Happy Birthday’ and I thought it’d be interesting and surprising to base a mixtape around it,” Johnson said.

IanJ is a popular upcoming artist in the Louisville community. He is well-known around Manual and other high schools across the area. 

“I like his music because he has his own style. My favorite single off of ‘Happy Birthday’ is ‘I Don’t Have to Go’ because it has a unique sound,” Samantha Klein (10) said.

Johnson hopes to drop his first album this spring.
