ArchiveGalleriesGallery: Ms. McKim’s physics class labBy Megan Lyvers - Sep 19, 2011 Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter Ms. Diane McKim (Physics, Integrated Science) escorts her R2 physics class out to 2nd St. to perform a lab involving the velocity of passing cars. The class was instructed to time the cars as soon as they began to roll after stopping at the light. Adam Pierce (12) holds up two fingers to the rest of his group, showing which lane the car is in that they will time. Nick Potter (12) and Adam Pierce (12) measure the length from the stoplight to where the timer was standing. Nick Potter (12) gets up to check if the measuring tape is straight so as to get an accurate measurement. April Johnson (12) stops her watch as a car passes on 2nd St. Romina Krosnyak (12) and Patrick Allen (12) also measure the distance from the stoplight to where the timer was placed. Romina Krosnyak (12) double-checks her measurement for her physics group. Patrick Allen (12) drags the tape measure back as he makes sure the proper measurements are being recorded. Seth Hayes (12) and Amanda Forti (12) wait for a car to start rolling down 2nd St.
