JCPS two hour delay Monday, February 28

JCPS announced that schools will have a two hour delay due to tornado warnings on February 28.  This is the first non-snow weather causing a delay for students during the 2010-2011 school year.

JCPS closed school on January 20th and December 16th and 13th due to snow.  An early dismissal was also announced on January 20th, based on severe weather warnings.

“I slept all night, I can’t hear anything.” Alexis Lundert (12)

“My mom really freaks out whenever this sort of thing happens. She made us get up at 4 a.m. and go to the basement.” Allison Williams (11)

“I was surprised. I thought my mom was just playing a prank on me when I found out (about the delay).”  Nathan Pohl (11)

“I woke up at 5 a.m. and I remember wishing that it would snow instead so we could have a day off. I was excited when I heard about the delay.” Donovan Pimentel (11)
